Exam and Assessment Results
Latest SAT results for our school - KS1 and KS2 2019
We are proud to report that our SAT results were very strong again in 2019. Our children at Early Years (Reception), Key Stage 1 (Year 2) and Key Stage 2 (Year 6) have performed above National levels, in most areas, for the past 8 years now. A wonderful achievement!
In 2016 there was a change for all primary schools as the new, more demanding SAT tests were introduced in Years 2 and 6. Levels have been replaced by scaled Scores in KS2, with 100 representing “expected” levels of attainment. In KS1 children were assessed by teachers against the National standard for Key Stage 1 and either met this standard or did not meet it in reading and maths. However, in writing assessment was against not met, met or working at greater depth.
Children in Year 1 were tested in phonics.
Children in Reception (Early Years) were assessed against the Early Years Framework and the % who reached the Early Learning Goals in the prime areas of Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Physical Development, and Communication and Language were assessed as reaching a Good Level of Development (GLD).
