Disley Primary School

Proud to Belong

Key Information

Disley Primary School is a large, unique building which blends the best of both modern and traditional facilities. The original part of the school was built in 1911, with the building extended in 1974 and again in 2015.
We have 10 classes, providing education for children aged 4 - 11 years.
In this section you will find other important information about our school.  By clicking on the headings below you will open a page with more information about that section.  We hope you find it helpful.

In April 2020 we converted to an academy as part of The True Learning Partnership (TTLP) Multi Academy Trust.  Other schools in the MAT are Poynton High School, Lostock Hall Primary School, Hague Bar Primary School and Glossopdale High School.

A copy of our School Prospectus with more detailed information about the school is available at the bottom of this page.
Also in this section are some important documents about our school.

Our Admission Policy is based on Cheshire East Council policy.  As an academy we are now our own  Admission authority.  The link to the Cheshire East website is below where you will find information about admissions and how to apply.  A copy of our Appeal form is also below.

Cheshire East Council admissions policy

Our admissions policy applies to all schools where we are the admissions authority.

After allocating places for any children with an Education, Health and Care Plan naming the school, we put children into 5 categories:

  1. Children who are in local authority care or have previously been in care.
  2. Brothers and sisters living in the same household as children already in the school (up to and including year 5) who expect to stay at the school for the next school year. This includes foster and adopted brothers and sisters, step-brothers and sisters, and half-brothers and sisters.
  3. Children living within the school's catchment area.
  4. For high schools, children who are currently pupils at one of the primary schools the high school works with as a feeder school.
  5. Children living nearest to the school as measured in a straight line by the National Property Gazetteer.

More information on Admissions can be found on the Cheshire East website, on their website  page here
