From September 2014 schools have to follow the new National Curriculum, introduced by the Department for Education in September 2013.
The link below takes you to the DfE website that outlines this statutory National Curriculum for Years 1 to 6. Children in Early Years (Reception class) follow the statutory Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.

Disley Primary School’s new curriculum
From September 2014 we have reviewed our curriculum in line with the new National Curriculum 2014. We teach a skills-based “Creative Curriculum” as we believe in involving our children in their learning and equipping them with the skills they will need to achieve economic well-being when they finish education. The skills of Reading, writing and maths are weaved through our Creative Curriculum, and we link different subjects together to make the learning purposeful.
Our Curriculum is based around 3 key drivers that we feel are personal to our school and community. Our key drivers will be woven into every theme of work. The 3 key drivers are:Resilience, Creativity and My Place in the World.
