Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 children receive free fruit for morning break and free milk up to the age of five.
Children who bring in a snack for mid morning break are encouraged to bring something healthy. Each day the number of children bringing into school a healthy snack or no snack are tallied for an award for the healthiest class of the week.
All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a free school meal each day under the Government's new scheme; Universal Free School Meals (UIFSM). This takes effect from September 1st 2014.
Children bringing in a packed lunch are requested, to bring it in a named container.
Dinner money is currently £2.25 per day and should be given to the teacher in an envelope on MONDAY MORNING for the week, marked with the amount, the child’s name and class.
Please make cheques payable to Cheshire East Council.
If you think you are entitled to income-related free school meals contact the school office. This is important as this type of free school meal also brings other financial benefits for your child. It is different from the UIFSM scheme detailed above.

We are proud to have achieved the National “Healthy School Award” at Disley School, and encourage children to bring a healthy snack for mid-morning break.
We sell toast and bagels at playtime.
We request that every child brings in a named 500ml plastic bottle of water to school each day. It has been proved that fresh water helps the children to learn more effectively.
